after the beautiful sunshine and warmth came the torrential rain, the wind and the flooding


it was a long slow day watching the rain pour outside the windows, seeing the rice fields fill and overflow onto the roads, and the rivers swelled high to that dirty brown and carried dead wood and litter far away



and my trousers are still soaked from the walk to work after the the bus had left me
