Thistle Down

By Ethel

I Ask Of Thee

T'is only Thee, O God
That I might ask.
To ease my soul,
And work my task.

For there is an ache,
Of which I tell.
Please God suffice him,
And make him well.

It bears me down,
To see him so.
Come down strong O God,
Make his affliction go.

I know thou can do it,
What thou wilt do.
Comfort and mete out recovery,
And see him through.

Look down thy eyes,
From heaven above.
O God...I ask this of thee,
With the strength of my love.
