Squiggly stick
I was feeling a bit ill today and only had time for a brief outing. Fortunately, the weather was stunning and so it felt good to get out for a few minutes for some fresh air.
In this image, we see an interesting curly branch. I look at this and wonder why it grows like that. Does the curly shape somehow benefit the plant? It certainly looks nice!
Part of the strategy with this image was to create a silhouette. This was easily done by shooting the relatively dark branch against the bright blue sky. I had to tweak the contrast to further darken the branch and am happy with the final result.
