Transplanted Beauties

These majestic iris, one of my favorites, I rescued from waist-high weeds before the patio was built. They greet me every morning at my kitchen window along with the chirping yellow and purple finches, red cardinals, bluejays, red-headed downy woodpeckers, acrobatic squirrels, an occasional hummingbird and, last but not least, the adorable cheek-bulging chipmunks. A rainbow of color to start every day.
