Don't panic!

And don't forget your towel!

Today celebrates Douglas Adams, of Hitchhiker 's Guide to the Galaxy fame. I didn't know until someone posted an article on Facebook about how today all over the world people make sure to have a towel with them.
As we had decided to start the day in Den Haag off with some much needed sea air in Scheveningen, we set our goal to shooting a towel in front of the Pier. And then I promptly forgot.
Fortunately the Galaxy provided us with a well-traveled, stinky towel on the beach and all I had to do was maneuver myself in such a way that both towel AND Pier could be in the picture.

Tadaaaaaa!


Today was another wonderful day. I lived in Den Haag for about 20 years, and while I don't miss the hustle and bustle, I do miss the familiarity of it all. Then again; the familiarity of just about everything is what I miss most anyway.
We walked around and then went to my friends Bart & Elies for dinner. It was like I was just there a month ago. Friendships should be like that :)
There was wine and good food and lots of laughter and then a few tears in the train on the way back. I told the Beloved I have been behaving VERY well, tearwise, so he should give me this one. Which he did :)
