Decrepit Doocot

This pub is a bit of an Edinburgh legend. It's in the Drylaw area of the town and when I was a teenager it was one of those pubs that it was widely believed you could buy absolutely anything in. It was also quite an intimidating place to a teenager from outside the town so, thankfully I can't say I ever managed to confirm any of the myths first hand.

I'm sure they were pretty much just that though, myths spawned by us teenagers from a wee village on the outskirts of town where no much really ever happened.

Bit of a shame to see it in this state though. I wonder if they'll replace it with another pub or if houses will get put up in it's place. I assume it'll be the latter.
