Tools of the Trade - Part I
This is a quick shot of the camera I use for most of my casual day to day shooting, and one that I'm growing to love quickly - the Panasonic GF1. Its a micro four thirds camera which means that it has a smaller sensor than most SLRs but has larger sensor than most point and shoot cameras and has resulting image quality somewhere in between.
I'm finding it to be a good compromise between convenience (AKA size and weight) and image quality (pretty good but not nearly as great as my full frame 5D). I've got an ultra wide 7-14mm zoom in addition to the 20mm pancake that it came with and I'd like to add a macro lens at some point to give me macro photography capabilities.
