Reading Festival Day 4

Because Reading is sponsored by Carling you're not allowed to bring any drinks (including bottled water) into the main arena. We got around this first by filling a Platypus with warm beer ~ 4 litres. Decided it wasn't gonna work, drank it and then taped bottles of vodka-red bull mix to my legs. That worked like a dream!

Bands I saw today:
Billy Talent - wasn't paying attention really, didn't notice any talent though
The Sunshine Underground - great music
Maccabees - Some great songs
Dwarves - Insane, He Who Can't Be Named played naked, lots of spitting, crowd surfing, instrument smashing, riot inciting goodness
Devendra Banhart - incredible Jim Morrison-esque, not many songs I knew (no Little Yellow Spider/At the Hop etc), brilliant but didn't seem to be appreciated so much
Jamie T - not a fan but great atmosphere, we were right up front getting the shit kicked out of us
CSS - great performance, watched from back after crowd surfing out of Jamie T
LCD Soundsystem - Brilliant set, got everyone going
Klaxons - Best band of the festival, plenty of nu rave poseurs, biggest crowd sing-a-longs
