Five minutes before...

I have known H for a *long* time, since she was born, and we have always seen a lot of each other as our parents are friends and we went to secondary school together.

Today was the wedding day of H&P, and I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid.

What a gorgeous day they got for it, a beautiful hot sunny day.

We started the day with having our hair done, then we went to H's parents house to have brunch and get ready. We then headed through to the venue - The Beech Hill Hotel on Lake Windermere where we went to the honeymoon suite and waited until it was time for the ceremony. This is H, pictured with F (another bridesmaid). While H hid inside, F was looking up at the terrace to see whether the guests had been seated yet, so we could know whether it was time to make our entrance.

The job was done, and H&P got married. Photos followed, then a boat ride and champagne reception on Lake Windermere, then speeches, dinner and dancing.

It really was a lovely day.
