Diving Kit

I had a really busy day today - working on the train then attending the Scottish Technology Showcase at the SECC. A good day, made some good contacts.

This evening I had to pack my dive kit as I'm off for 4 days diving up at Loch Torridon from tomorrow evening. I thought I'd blip some of my kit...

Here there are 2 15 litre diving cylinders, my main air supply when diving, one with air in and the other with nitrox. Nitrox gives an extra safety margin for some types of diving, so I use it from time to time. I only carry one of these at a time, but I have two since we often do two dives in a day without facilities to fill a cylinder in between.

You can also see my 3 litre pony cylinder, which is my backup supply in case of emergency. Finally, when diving in the UK I wear lots of warm clothes and a thick drysuit - so I need a hefty weightbelt to get me underwater. This is all the heavy stuff, waiting to get loaded first.
