Adopted Swedish

It's official I am adopted.

Lottie leaves NY tomorrow. She organized a really nice goodbye dinner with all her friends. Basically I was the only non-swedish. Every now and again people would look at me and start talking in Swedish to realize, after a sentence or two, I probably didn't understand a thing. But I do! I joked that they should just see me as an adopted Swede, and they do now. I am probably hanging out with more Swedish people here than I would have if I had stayed with my initial plan, which was interning in Stockholm. My Swedish has really approved and I understand more and more. Who would have guessed, coming to NY and improving my Swedish!
