This Too Will Vanish...

6:45 in the morning and you're feeling collegiate.

You take the familiar streets back towards town.
Mission, Lafayette, West, turning right on Dickson at the light and then right again on Arkansas Ave. You park half a block from where you were on Monday. You get out, cross the street, walk up the steps to the lawn of the University. You walk on sidewalks engraved with all the graduates names since 1871, when the school formed. It is sunny and clear, just early enough that the dew is still heavy in the grass. You are facing "Old Main" the original building that initially housed the entire University. You walk through the lawns around campus, enjoying the trees, flowers, and fountains. People smile and say hello.

You decide this is a very friendly town, especially early in the morning...
