Beacon

I enjoyed a lovely run this evening, from Lewes up onto the Downs, passing the old racecourse and heading up to Black Cap, where this beacon is located. The chalk cliffs of the Cliffe area of the town are visible in the background, the entire panorama shrouded in a haze caused by the slight rain we'd experienced today. The evening, however, as you can see, was glorious.

ps: some wag has managed to place a twig in the top of the fire basket...
