Back-End Of A Legend
The photos I took of this caravan over the last 2 days have provoked lots of comment about how people remember being stuck "behind the back end of a legend" for endless hot and summery traffic clogged hours (many of them were not so polite!). Maybe an exaggeration over time, but a very common memory. Maybe the postcards for Kiwis these days should be of this view instead. I took many photos of this one again today, in the stormy 4degree weather again, and loved them all, but I really wanted to show the street in its final Autumn glory as well as the "back-end" view. One of those classic iconic shapes and memories that become part of our Kiwi cultural identity.
