The Navy is in town.

On my way home from picking a special list of shiny bits for a shiny (near) new bike I am building I stumbled apon Te Mana, one of our Aussie built frigates.

This being NZ, after I took this shot, I wandered past the large NO UNAUTHORISED ACCESS signs, through the open gate and wandered around taking photos and then up the gang plank where I had a nice chat to a nice woman who was one of the sailors.

Welcome to 1972 (except for the female sailor bit).
