Malaga Hotel
BACKBLIP
We set off from Blackpool, confident that we knew where our hotel was, near the bus and train station in the centre of the city
When we picked up our bags we decided against the bus as there was a large queue and elected to get the train instead. Having used RENFE before no problems were envisaged.
The hotel directions stated that it was adjacent to the last station on the line. However, there is a great deal of work going on in Malaga just now including a new Metro system AND an additional train station at the end of the extended line.
So we continued beyond the correct station and using a combination of GPS and maps which, unbeknownst to us, did not show the new station, we ended up going around in circles for an hour
Fortunately we had sufficient Spanish to ask locals, who were extremely helpful and they pointed us in the right direction. We were extremely happy to get into our room just before midnight, when our reservation was due to expire and just in time for this blip...phew!
