Jewellery Box

This is the lid of my jewellery box.

It came from Hong Kong and belonged to my Grandmother in law.

I have no idea what the symbol on the lid means, though I would love to be enlightened. The box is made from Camphor wood and is lined with blue satin. When you open it the smell that meets you is beautiful.

I liked the way the sun shining through the blinds made a striking shadow on the box.
