Stop It & Shut Up

My Life.

This is our house.
It holds everything precious to me.

My husband is sat inside on his laptop designing avatars which I'll never understand.

My little boy, Tommy is trying to sleep in his own bed but will have by now crossed the landing to his sister's bed where they will be watching Monsters Vs Aliens for the sixth time this week.

My little girl, who is mother hen to Tommy, will be sucking her thumb even though she gave it up because she "is a big girl now"

My baby, Alfie who will sleep in the slumber of babes until 3.15am when he'll awake with the demonic scream of a baby demanding his mother's breast.

And everything else I hold dear, my photos, memories, pets, belongings.

At the end of the day it is bricks and mortar, but when we moved here this house was sad, neglected and on the market due to a marriage breakup - I remember standing in the very spot I just took this picture and saying, "We will love you, we will look after you and fill you with love"

I like to think we do.
