A Sad Tale or two.

This is poor baby magpie... he was sat on the road and as you can see his sibling had already sadly been run over. I moved him into the long grass without making too much fuss as I didn't want the parents to leave it.... sadly when I returned later in the evening.. it too had been run over....

Thanks to all that commented on yesterdays blip.... the poor little calfs Mum had to be shot as prolapsed and nothing could be done.. the calf a hind is now being hand reared.... so not a completly unhappy ending for her.
