dance, dance, dance @ school

Every school in Japan has a sporting day (sports festival) once a year. my daughter's primary school has got this today.

along with a series of typical athletics, each grade usually have this kind of 'oyu-gi' ( a simple dance) Kids at her grade this year became 'horses' and danced along with the japanese drum beat. Costumes were nothing like traditional, but the steps they took seemed to be.

That's what I learned today.
