The View
Tonight my # 2 daughter and her husband came for the weekend. This time my great grand-son and grand-daughter did not come with them (boo hoo) But it is nice to just visit with daughter and son-in-law, too! Then one of my brother-in-laws (I have 9) also came down and we all went out to eat. On the way through town, two deer ran across the highway. One of them had antlers, the other was a doe. I snapped lots of pictures through the car window. Then, walking along Bay Street all the flowers were in bloom and the violas were purple and blue. All the flowers were so vibrant that I had to take lots of pictures of those, also. But when we were sitting in the restaurant waiting for our food, the sun began settling down on the Siuslaw River, peeking out from behind the bridge leading into Florence and reaching right in through the window to grab me and my camera - absolutely forcing me to stand up, walk to the window and take pictures through all the other diners, who smiled knowingly, (thinking I was a tourist).
After dinner, everyone wanted to go to the casino and while there I met two lovely ladies from Scotland! I told them all about blipfoto, of course, and they were very interested. I told them that it won the "big award" that was like an oscar and was for...oh my, I shouldn't have had that third glass of wine! I couldn't think of Bafta! They said, I was right "Inverness was a lovely spot" They are going to stop in and see me at work before they leave,
All in all, it was such a nice evening and I think I might even have sold countertops to the gentleman sitting next to us at the bar!
