Where has all the water gone..?
Scaleber Force, Yorkshire Dales.
Just a trickle of water flows down the fall. The beck below running in ribbons where so often it is a torrent. Huge slabs of underrun limestone revealed - only inches thick and cavernous beneath, normally veiled beneath rushing water, now dry and lichenous.
Blue sky, sun beating on sheltered slopes. But a thin wind chases clouds scudding, freezing skin tempted out and courted by the sun.
I felt the need for another 'slow waterfall' shot, after Catrigg Forcewas such a hit. Lucky there was actually some water...
