Dayglo Cross

Like a beacon of hope you stand, loneliest dayglo on a cross,
That's ripped and whipped by storms flaking paint that once shone gloss.
Yet still you stand there sturdy, peering long at a sullen sea,
Wise with time and knowledge saving the drowning just like me.
