Chose either the worst or best weekend of the year to visit this Buddhist temple at Dikwella, depending on how you look at it; arrived to find the perahera (costume parade) just starting. Might have been good for pictures if lots of very tall people hadn't been standing all around us! - so I started photographing spectators instead.
