No nap

it looks like it's finally gone, that afternoon nap that we have so relied on for a breather.
we've handed it over to Hannah to choose. she chose not to have it today.
so instead we went to the pub beer garden to meet friends. the kind of beer garden that children love, the kind that had a forest. not bad. Hannah ran and ran and... finally fell asleep on the sofa before she even got to tea-time.

needless to say we had tears before bedtime.

in other news alice is teaching us not to be so smug. after sleeping so well for a long time she has suddenly stopped, we are now up every hour and a half.
here's hoping it's a phase. something i think i'll be saying a lot over the next few years.
