Wonen's 10,000

A massive wave of women running through the streets of Helsinki every year in May. It's the biggest sporting event for women with 18, 500 runners, joggers and walkers this year. The best years have been over 32, 000 participants. Ten kilometers is about 6 miles.
The event is not a competition, just for fun. The profits are used to support children's sport and physical activities. Some firms are sponsors of the event.
Along the route there were official refreshment stands arranged by race organizers, but also others by companies who had employees participating, stocked with the energy drinks such as champagne and served by young men in suits.
