Taking The Plunge

Down at the water this morning and The Boy was all for getting in and having a swim. He only made it to the bottom step of the ladder and he was back up saying it was to cold.

We have had a very dry spring and there was very little snow late in the winter this has resulted in the water level of the lake being very low. The dreaded zebra mussels have really taken over too which is not a good thing. Because the water is so low a green algae plant has sprung up all over the lake bed near the shore line. We have never seen this before and I'm hoping that if we get some rain and the lake fills up it will die off.

Back to the city for the Sunday night get together for the week ahead but looking forward to next weekend when we can hopefully get away again.
