And in summation
I felt like a woman who had walked across the desert without a drop to drink today as I gorged that thirst on the weak autumn sunshine that burst forth through yonder window this morning.
Dog, cat and woman. Standing together in the one warm(ish) spot in the kitchen, enjoying the feel of said sun on our faces.
At lunchtime, we stood together in the garden, relishing in the same sun.
Leaves took on a glow we hadn't seen for what seemed like eternity (though in fact was less than two weeks).
Moods lifted. Laughter was once more heard around school.
An evening walk with a mediocre sunset but beautiful still due to its long absence.
Cousteau rolling in a dead something (I didn't investigate) and having to have a wash.
Cousteau eating half a box of cat food. Tut tut.
In the dog house?
No, wrapped in his two duvets in front of the fire. Drying out and hogging all the warmth.
Of out for tea now.
Later.
