The Bone Sentinel

I've been creative this morning. Making this new sculpture from two pieces of flotsam and jetsam, which is one of the joys of living by the coast: I never know what I'll find washed up.

I love this piece of vertebrae, it looks like a 'Toy' Poodle. And the charred piece of wood, weathered by the sea, makes a great plinth for the 'dog'.

The weathered colours and textures are just so mesmerizing.
