Edinburgh Castle

It was about AD600 that there is the first historical reference to "Din Eidyn" - the fortress on the rock. But most of what we see today only goes back just over 400 years.

This is the castle in the distance as seen from Blackford Hill on what is a glorious day in Edinburgh. "Blipping" is a bit like dog-owning, it forces you out even when you think you don't have time!
