These are the back stairs in my flat, leading from the kitchen down to the garden. I spent the afternoon trying to hack off the foam carpet backing that had stuck to the stairs. It didn't help that some numpty had glued the rotten old carpet to the stairs. It's all still a bit of a mess and the next stage is to get the sander out.

There isn't one part of this flat that hasn't been ruined by the previous occupants in some way. Added to that I've still got to put right all the bodging the builders have done recently.

This morning's job was one of those; rehanging the back door with the hinges correctly concealed rather than on the outside of the door so that an enterprising burglar could just unscrew the hinges and remove the whole door!
