Hadrian's Wall

The current GCSE Geography syllabus contains a module about Tourism and erosion. Any location which attracts large numbers of visitors unfortunately also needs careful management in relation to erosion, litter, safety, information provision and much more.

One of the local High Schools was visiting the Wall today and I was lucky to be able to accompany them as an extra helper. The young people were enthusiastic and well behaved. It was a great chance to see High School pupils in action and get an insight into what they do for GCSE these days.
