Angular Solomon's Seal
Hope all you UK blippers have been enjoying the bank holiday. Not often we venture out on BH because of traffic and crowds but as Saturday was a washout we set off early to go off the beaten track. Just west of Jnc 36 M6 is Hutton Roof and Farleton Fell. Not too high but has some spectacular limestone pavements and habitats. In fact it is like a miniature version of the Burren. Came across this Angular Solomon's Seal completely by chance when I took the wrong path and had to vere off to find the right route. This is one of the rarest plants in the UK and am really excited to find it. Not that my teenage sons were impressed.
