Chelsea Flower Show
My husband and I regularly go the Chelsea Flower Show, but this year we took our son with us for the first time. He is keen on horticulture and particularly growing vegetables. He has always been impressed by the extremely long carrots and other ousized veg. We were so chuffed to find that Medwyn, who had retired 5 years ago, came back to show his veg this year. My son was so happy when Medwyn asked him to stand alongside him so I could photograph the two of them together. This is something for my son to aspire to. When Alan Titchmarsh rang the bell for the big sell-off we managed to come away with 3 of Medwyn's long carrots and 2 terribly long beetroot and several large and tasty tomatoes.
Not only did he get a gold but he won best in the pavilion. Well done Medwyn.
