Sandmason
These little creatures fascinate me, I have been known to spend a vast amount of precious underwater time trying to get the perfect shot, which is pretty difficult since they live on a sand and shell seabed and cover themselves in sand and shell!
Inside this unlikely construction is a segmented worm, it feeds by catching passing morsels in its tendrils. The bits of sand, shell and stone that protect it are cemented together and can last for a long time after the worm vacates its home. Nature truly is amazing.
