Self-portrait Tuesday: ZAPP!!

I got a new toy!

My workmates know all about self-portrait Tuesday, they see the desperation when I don't have any ideas and are always coming up with helpful suggestions (usually involving acting out being run over by a car, bus, herd of donkeys etc. Needless to say I don't take their advice very often).

But for my birthday last week some of them decided to help me out in a more practical way, by buying me a remote control for my camera! No more fiddling about setting manual focus, hitting the self-timer, running into position, walking back, checking picture, repeat ad infinitum... Now I can set the camera up, go to my position and click away!

Here's me zapping the camera with the remote for the first time. Infrared isn't very spectacular, being outside the visible spectrum and all, so I jazzed it up a bit :)
