Good Cloud, Bad Cloud

Shortly after take off from Aberdeen heading for Wick we were under a very dark cloud which we were going to have to climb through. To the distance and over the River Dee the sun was shining through the gap between the big dark cloud and the smaller happier white clouds.

I am just uploading my photographs raw as I am just starting out in photography and have only just putchased photoshop. Any comments on how to improve etc would be very welcome by this amateur.
