Ice Factory

I spent the day in ghe Imperial Valley of California, bird watch with a friend who I meet in Florida. Besides seeing many new birds, he also gace me a history tour of the lower valley. This is an old ice house where they made ice in the 30's. They utilized the geothermal areas under the valley, extracting the carbon dioxide which the first made dray ice, then utilized the dry ice to make ice. After the ice making business wasstopped. the place was first a spa with hot springs and finally ended as a RV park
