Dyrham Park, Bath

We got up early and drove to Bath -- but stopped on the way for a quick walk round the grounds of Dyrham Park. The house was shut but the grounds were open to the public. Saw a beautiful herd of deer. Snapped away, but results not up to scratch. So when we got back I tweeked this shot of the house. We love visiting National Trust properties. England has some wonderful old houses and stately homes. The aristocracy in the past were so damn rich. Same today I guess.

The wealth of books and paintings in these houses is staggering. Three cheers for the National Trust for preserving our rich heritage. A glimpse into the past.
