Cabezon at sunset

Cabezon is a tertiary volcanic plug in the Rio Puerco Valley. I was a young archaeologist here in the 70's. It is the most beautiful place on earth. Such fond memories.

I am grateful that the tire that almost blew out, just self desturcted giving me time to stop the car safely and the spare that rolled down hill 50 feet into the arroyo was findable. I am also exceeding grateful to my ex who drove over 50 miles to rescue me.
