On a plate
My castor oil plant was clearly 'stressed' so I decided to dig it out of it's pot. It had been there for years and wasn't a favourite anyway. It soon became clear what was causing the stress - the pot was full of vine weavil grubs. Having time on my hands, I picked them all out and served them up for the hungry birds. This blackbird got about ten in his beak at once, and didn't seem to mind my presence a few feet away.
