experimenting with infrared - day 1

I just ordered an R72 infrared filter for my dad's ancient Canon Powershot G2. Apparently newer cameras have built in IR-blocking filters, making it hard/impossible to take IR photos without modifying the camera. The G2 has no filter, and thus my adventure into the world of infrared begins!

Hopefully I can get some shots with better quality my tinkering with the settings. This is only a 4 megapixel camera, whose quality competes with the likes of modern-day camera phones. Also, I was rapidly losing daylight, as indicated by the shadows creeping their way up my tree.
