Pocklington Canal

DB working in Yorkshire this week so had a drive across to see her HQ (Hearing Dogs for Deaf People).
Avoided the motorways and stopped at Ilkley to look at new tandems. Very nice, very expensive, VERY TEMPTED!! Saw one at £15,000!! Don't think she'll allow that. There are some perfectly good bikes 1/10th of that so maybe......

Arrived at Bielby early so had a walk on the nearby canal. As can be seen it is very weedy but the water is gin clear. Didn't spot any fish but lots of birdlife including reed warbler, reed bunting, cuckoo, wagtails etc

Very pleasant 16 miles on the bikes followed by a couple of pints and a pub tea.

Sometimes life's a bitch. But not today!
