The Crown Hotel
Day one of our short shopping break in Yorkshire.
Megan and I followed in the footsteps of the likes of Byron, Elgar and alledgedly the Beatles, by staying at The Crown Hotel in Harrogate.
Now I LOVE Harrogate. Beautiful place - like stepping back in time, to when the grass was greener, the sky was bluer, and people were actually nice and polite.
So we shopped, had lunch at the famous Bettys Tearoom -and lovely it was too- I strolled through the Valley gardens, then we had out evening meal at La Tasca before returning to the Crowns' bar - The Place - for a cocktail.
Lovely time we had. Until I woke myself up at 2.30am convinced there was a ghost in the room (there wasn't) and hardly slept for the rest of the night. Surprising really since I love to go on ghost hunts.....
Ah well, York tomorrow!
