A fast espresso with Matti Pellonpää

"Love never dies, it is we who die when love leaves us." - One of the most famous lines of Matti Pellonpää in the movie "Arvottomat" ("The Worthless")

Running around Helsinki again today. When I passed bar and cafe Corona on Eerikinkatu I decided to have an espresso. As everyone was sitting outside in the warm summer weather I wanted to have a moment with Matti Pellonpää.

Pellonpää was a great, award winning Finnish actor and singer and passed away only 44 years old. He worked mainly with the Finnish film director Aki Kaurismäki. Aki and his brother, also movie director, Mika Kaurismäki owns bar Corona.
