Arctic Skua

I headed off to Wyre today. As the ferry left Egilsay the ticket-collector saw me and said...'I thought you were going to Wyre'? I'd kind of thought the ferry stopped at Egilsay, then Wyre. He was getting the Master to return to Wyre but I said Egilsay'd be fine. Going for that 'Freewheelin' Orcades Days' image, trying to look less stupid. And thinking that perhaps some karmic redirection was going on.

Egilsay was nice. Probably nicer than Wyre. This skua was chasing arctic terns for their food.
I would have thanked the wind, though, to let up a bit. After several hours in it, you feel pretty pummeled.
