" Warning Call "

If there was competition for the bird call that best depicted the wild places the Curlew in my opinion would be up there with the best of them.. I spotted several smal fluffy balls in the distance and they had`nt seen me, but mother did, she landed nearby giving that famous call and while I was distracted the family disappeared. Without moving forward and causing distress I never saw the little ones again, so I settled for Mum.. Notice how well she blends into the reeds and grasses...
