Any ideas?

My parents left today after spending the week. Ben and I decided to make a start on the garden.

Ben cut the grass while I started to dig a veg patch with the children....well they flitted back and forth anyway. By the end of the day I had blisters and back ache, as did Ben, but we do have a planted up veg patch and a mowed lawn rather than a meadow.

The flowers in the picture are on a shrub at the end of the garden. We suspect it is an azalea/camelia/magnolia type plant as the garden is full of them and they thrive here.....

We would love to know what it is.
