At the textile workshop I'm attending, we were set a challenge of using a limited range of materials provided by the tutor to represent one of three words in three dimensions - Catching -- Beyond -- Separate. This is my response to the word Beyond. It's made of cotton buds wrapped in paper string, hanging down behind a piece of tissue paper. I liked the ghostly effect of the partial view through the tissue, and the shadows made when the sun came through the window.

I wasn't sure it would be a good day as I wasn't sure I could get my head into the right frame of mind for art, having only moved last week. But it seemed to be just what I needed and I think I produced some useful ideas.

I had a quick dash home in the evening to attend a close friend's 50th birthday - lovely evening - good food, good company and warm enough weather to be out in the garden until the early hours.
