A good start

So, at the end of the first proper week on site and 140 tons of crushed granite later, the access track and parking area are completed.

The track comes in from the left of the picture to a parking area which is in front of an eventual garage. The track continues off to the right (towards the paddock) to where a shed/workshop will be sited (where my car is). The track sloping down below the JCB leads to the house.

This week I am removing some young conifers from the footprint of the house and relocating them elsewhere on the site and starting to excavate the foundations.
